SCHOOL CALENDAR

ACADEMIC YEAR 2009-2010

PARENT/STUDENT ORIENTATION:  Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. – 9 p.m.

CLASSES BEGIN:  Wednesday, September 9, 2009.  Students are scheduled for a full day of classroom instructions.

OPEN HOUSE:  Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

PICTURE DAY:  Wednesday, October 8, 2009.

REPORT CARD PICKUP DAYS:  Thursday, November 19, 2009 (first marking period)

April 22, 2010 (third marking period). 

Report cards will be sent home with the student for the second (February 4, 2010) and fourth (June 8, 2010) marking period.

Teacher In-service Days (No School):  Friday, October 23, 2009, Friday, January 29, 2010, and Friday, March 26, 2010.

CHRISTMAS RECESS:  School closes at the end of the school day on Friday, December 18, 2009 and reopens on Monday, January 4, 2010.

ENROLLMENT FOR CURRENT STUDENTS: Tuesday, March 2, 2010 (All students must re-register)

ENROLLMENT FOR NEW STUDENTS:  Registration will begin on Thursday, April 1, 2010 (based upon availability).

SPRING VACATION:  School closes for students at the end of the school day on Thursday, April 1, 2010 and reopens on Monday, April 12, 2010.

IOWA TEST OF BASIC SKILLS (ITBS) TESTING:  Monday, April 26, 2010 thru Friday, April 30, 2010.

SUMMER VACATION:  School closes at the end of the school day on Tuesday, June 8, 2010.
